Hours
Each hour is split into 10 minute segments. Traveling from one neighborhood to another takes 10 minutes. Scattered rain starts and ends every 10 minutes, although it is possible for multiple periods of 10 minutes in a row will have rain.
At the start of each hour, there is a chance that light rain will start or stop. Again, it is possible for light rain to occur multiple hours in a row.
Each week is split into five weekdays and two weekends.
Your day always starts at 7:00 AM. On most weekdays, you will need to attend school, which means that your leaf-raking business day starts after you get home at 3:00 PM. Some holidays falls on a weekday and you will have a day off from school. On Saturday and Sunday, you never have school, so your potential workable day is much longer.
The general store is closed on holidays, and otherwise is open from 7:00 AM until 6:00 PM each day. Make sure to plan your visits so that you do not find yourself without needed supplies and no way to buy them.
When visiting neighbors to ask if they need your services, it is only permissible before 8:00 PM. Otherwise, it is considered rude to show up so late at someone’s house.
The earliest you can go to bed is 9:00 PM. Time will advance to 9:00 PM if you decide to go to bed before then.
Midnight starts a new day, which is when the leaves fall and the weather changes. You will also find that midnight is when your mother will force you to come inside if you decide to stay out late, so it is the latest time you can go to bed and end the day.
Pro-tip: Timing for Finishing Work on a Yard
Since fresh leaves will fall at midnight, avoid finishing a raking job at precisely midnight, as you will not get credit for completing a yard since it is no longer clear of leaves. You will either need to finish the yard before midnight to get paid, or you will need to wait until the next day to do so.
